We are exploring TeacherTube and YouTube as a resource more and more in reading to complement our lessons. Here are two that really interested me because it actually showed how to run literature circles. I have heard about them and read about them, but never actually seen one in action. This really was much more beneficial than reading about it. I guess that’s where the value comes in….I’m a visual learner! I want to actually experience what it feels like to do it! This look at YouTube and TeacherTube made me feel more comfortable with the sites and where to look for items of interest.
Here are two that were particularly interesting for teachers:

This one is an example of what we are doing in the library for middle school independent reading classes…..could I download other book talks to put on our site? I would love to give them credit; we not trying to steal anything, but don’t want to reinvent the wheel!

My YouTube on American Idol is my favorite so far…I listen to it all the time. Brings cold chills to me!

Claudia - your blog is sooooo good. To say on my evoca podcast that I am raising the bar is such a joke. I have left 3 recordings on other people’s podcasts but now I can’t remember how I did it so I’m having to WRITE in response to yours!! How awful is that?!? I love your site though! The American idol posting is one of my favorites as well - when I saw it that night, I could not believe that they “let” them perform that song - I love it! Thanks for the encouragement. Just seeing that you’re already on thing 20 is amazing! I must catch up!!
